What happens if I import the same contacts more than once?

Highrise will skip duplicate records during imports. So, for example, you could upload your Basecamp Classic contacts into Highrise every day as an additive sync. Highrise will add just the new contacts and skip the ones already in the system.

When looking for duplicates, Highrise looks for two possibilities:

1) With people, imported email addresses are matched against ones already in your Highrise database. Duplicates will be skipped on the import.

2) With companies, imported company names are matched against ones already in your Highrise database. Duplicates will be skipped on the import.
